　　台南是台湾的发源地，台南的历史一定要从鹿耳门屿说起，正统鹿耳门圣母庙缘起于十六世纪前，因奉祀鹿耳门妈祖而兴建，为台湾唯一奉祀有八百年以上历史鹿耳门妈金身及建筑面积第一大规模之妈祖庙。

　　“2018年戊戌科土城仔香醮”将于5月3日(农历3月18日)起鼓入醮，共五大主会，「大主会」中洲角、「二主会」郭岑寮、「三主会」郑仔寮、「范王主会」青草仑、「三官首」砂仑脚。5月4日至5月6日(农历3月19日至21日)祈安绕境。第一天请王，第二天起连续三天举建禳灾祈安清醮与刈香遶境，第五天送王。鹿耳门妈出香遶境，香路全程长逾一百公里，香阵近百，规模日益状大。为广大信众消灾解厄带来鹿耳门妈与五府千岁的庇佑与福泽。

　　正统鹿耳门圣母庙整体分为南北四进三落五殿，两侧以厢房回廊相接，第一进为『五王殿』，为单檐歇山的建筑风格，内奉五府千岁、水仙尊王及中坛元帅等，第二进为『妈祖殿』，为重檐歇山的建筑风格，奉祀天上圣母、注生娘娘、福德正神、财神爷，第三进『佛祖殿』为17开间之『大士殿』，分别供奉释迦佛祖、文殊菩萨、普贤萨以及千手千眼观世音、南海观世音、西天佛祖、金面佛祖等等神像，而第四进『天公殿』供奉祀玉皇上帝、三官大帝、三恩主、南斗星君、北斗星君、张天师、普化天尊、王天君、斗姥元君、南极仙翁、月下老人、六十星宿神;每个神殿当中都有大红柱，显示中国古代庙宇建筑的传统风格，加上庙宇四周的壕沟更像古代宫殿的呈现。
